A look back at the expanded two-day 2026 edition hosted at the beautiful Watercolors Resort, blending international design runway and community causes.
Held from June 12 to 13, 2026, the Roatán Fashion Show expanded into a highly impactful cultural festival hosted entirely at the beautiful Watercolors Resort. With Colombia serving as the official guest country, the event merged international runways with grassroots female empowerment.
Day 1: Inspiration and Heritage (June 12, 2026)
The festival commenced with the "Mujeres que Inspiran" (Women Who Inspire) seminar, followed by the "Roatán Family Runway" at Watercolors Resort. This democratic runway celebrated the island's cultural diversity, uniquely representing Roatán's distinct ethnic groups through fashion and art, and launched 5 winning emerging Honduran designers chosen by public vote from an elite pool of 10 semifinalists.
Day 2: The Grand Runway (June 13, 2026)
Hosted at Watercolors Resort against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea, the main runway delivered uncompromised luxury. The runway featured prominent Honduran talents alongside international Colombian designers like Quimera, Dulce Menta, Eriko, and Bless. Crucially, this gala served as the debut for the first commercial collection crafted by the Corazones Solidarios artisans.
Commerce and Community Collaboration
A dedicated funding model was implemented for the 2026 edition. Exactly 50% of the proceeds were allocated to fund a permanent workshop for the Corazones Solidarios artisans to scale their micro-businesses. The remaining 50% was directed to the "Roatán 5 Estrellas" initiative, allowing the community to democratically vote and choose the next major social cause or NGO investment from 5 final island projects.
